Farmer's Market To Open in Paola
The Farmer's Market of Paola will kick off the 2007 season Saturday.
This year the market will return to Paola's Park Square, where local growers and artisans will offer their fares from 7 a.m. to noon every Saturday through Nov. 17, rain or shine.
Items available at the market in past seasons include honey and honey products, homegrown plants and produce, cut flowers, jewelry, handcrafted blankets and a variety of other creations.
This season promises the return of past favorites, as well as new vendors and products.
The Farmer's Market of Paola is managed by My Father's House Community Services, a nonprofit organization in Paola offering services to homeless individuals in Linn and Miami counties. Profits from the management of the market support the local services and programming offered by the organization.
