Angel Food Ministries now offered at My Father's House Community Services
Boxes of food also available for $28 at Friendship Faith Ministries in Paola

People in Paola and the surrounding area now have one more option of where to go to get quality food at little cost.
My Father's House Community Services, 1004 N. Pearl St., is partnering with Friendship Faith Ministries, 602 W. Shawnee St., to offer Angel Food Ministries. This program based in Monroe, Ga., provides $28 boxes of food each month to anyone who orders one, no matter their income level.
“We are very excited to be working with Friendship Faith Ministries to provide more opportunities for our community to take advantage of the Angel Food program,” Janea White, My Father's House personal and family advancement associate, said. “We would also like to partner with our community in looking at this as an opportunity to serve someone they may know, as well, that may be going through a difficult time and need some extra help.”
My Father's House will accept orders for Angel Food's November shipment from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through Nov. 5. Those who order can pick up their food from 10:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 17.
Orders also will be taken from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 3 at Friendship Faith Ministries. Those orders will be available from 10:45 a.m. to noon Nov. 17.
The item's included in next month's $28 box of food are:
Four pounds of individual quick-frozen leg quarters
Eight ounces of 80/20 lean beef patties
One pound of gourmet sausage
One pound of ground turkey
One 6.5-ounce stroganoff dinner
One pound of rice
Two pounds of fresh onions
Seven ounces of blueberry muffin mix
A 26-ounce Banquet turkey entrée
One pound of individual quick-frozen chicken breasts
One pound of corn dogs
Twelve ounces of Philly steaks
One pound of pinto beans
One pound of California veggie blend
Twenty ounces of shoe-string potatoes
One dessert item
Additional boxes of steaks or convenience meals are available for $20 each.
