Shawnee dentist becomes trustee

R. Wayne Thompson, who practices orthodontics in Shawnee, became a trustee of the American Dental Association during a meeting of the group’s House of Delegates in San Francisco.

Thompson will serve as a board trustee from the 12th District, which includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas and Oklahoma.  The board formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the 464 members of the association’s governing body, the House of Delegates.

Thompson received the 2004 Kansas Dental Association Dentist of the Year Award and the 2005 University of Missouri at Kansas City Orthodontist of the Year Award.



Digital Ally

appoints two

Digital Ally Inc., Overland Park , which develops, manufactures and markets advanced video surveillance products for law enforcement, homeland security and commercial security applications, appointed Thomas J. Heckman chief financial officer.

Heckman has served as a consultant to Digital Ally since October 2007.

The company also appointed Daniel F. Hutchins to the board of directors. He will also serve as the board’s financial expert.
