Kathryn Jean Shields, 78, Mound City, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Olathe Medical Center. Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Va. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Ed” Shields, of the home; a sister, Mary Ann Shields of Mound City; and a brother, Walter Revey of Spring Hill.
