Claude William Adcox, 60, Osawatomie, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Indian Meadows in Overland Park.
Born Sept. 15, 1947, in Kansas City, Kan., he was the son of Charles Ray and Letha Mae McCord Adcox. He was raised by his second parents, Dearel and Helen Adcox.
He and Mickey VanVlack Shurtz were married May 31, 2002.
Mr. Adcox worked in construction, and he and his wife owned a flea market.
Survivors include his wife, Mickey Adcox of Osawatomie; two stepdaughters, Amy VanVlack and Brandy Wisdom; 11 brothers and sisters; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were Tuesday in Jingo Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital in care of Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 304, La Cygne, KS 66040.
