Students of the Month show character, academic promise

Louisburg Middle Schoolers chosen for second semester

Fifteen Louisburg Middle School students were honored as students of the month during the school’s second semester.

The students were chosen by their teacher, based on their impressions of the student in the classroom.

January

Sixth grade — Britnee Saelens. She was chosen because she is prepared for class, respectful of her teachers and works well with others.

Seventh grade — Regan Wertz. Regan was selected as a student of the month because she is a positive leader and respectful of her teachers.

Eighth grade — Canon Teague. Canon was named student of the month because he is self-disciplined, has good manners and helps others.

February

Sixth grade — Jack Niebrugge. He was chosen because he has a positive attitude, is respectful and works hard.

Seventh grade — Emily Davis. Emily was named student of the month because she is enthusiastic and gives 100 percent effort each day.

Eighth grade — Jenny Rockers. Jenny was selected because she is responsible with her studies and involved in her community.

March

Sixth grade — Brooke Bugbee. She was chosen because she is organized and displays strong character.

Seventh grade — Aaron Burrow. He was selected as student of the month because he is courteous, strives for academic excellence and values his education.

Eighth grade — Taylor Hankinson. Taylor was chosen because she sets high standards for herself and consistently has a positive attitude.

April

Sixth grade — Jessica Brummel. She was named student of the month because she is reliable and communicates well with her teachers.

Seventh grade — Erin Davis. Erin was chosen because she demonstrates creativity and enthusiasm and she is respectful.

Eighth grade — Nick Chapman. He was selected because he works hard and is a conscientious student.

May

Sixth grade — Ben Powers. Ben was chosen because he is nice to others, has a positive attitude and is responsible.

Seventh grade — Joseph Henry. He was chosen because he gets his work in on time and goes the extra mile to make sure it’s quality work.

Eighth grade — Emily Wyatt. Emily was named student of the month because she works hard and leads by example in the classroom.
