Lunch & Learn set May 21
If you have often wondered what to do tonight for supper when you only have ground beef in your freezer or refrigerator, then you’ll want to come to the next Lunch & Learn program entitled Heavenly Hamburger.
Calorie for calorie, beef is one of the best sources of essential B vitamins, which promote physical growth, healthy skin and nerves, good vision and a good immune system, among many other benefits.
The next lunch and learn class will be held from noon to 1 p.m. May 21 at the K-State Research and Extension office at 104 S. Brayman St., Paola.
Miami County Extension Master Food Volunteers will be presenting this informative, practical program on this very popular type of beef and sharing ways we can celebrate Kansas Beef Month. There will be plenty of food samples, healthy recipes and tasting offered at this monthly session.
There’s no need to make a reservation. Just come and bring a friend with you to enjoy the program. A fee of $1 will be collected to defray food costs and supplies.
