Youths confirmed at Lighthouse Presbyterian
Eight youths were confirmed April 27 at Lighthouse Presbyterian Church of Paola, which meets at Evergreen Events. The class has gone through a year-long confirmation study entitled “Belonging to Christ,” taught by John Rhea and Michael Bayles.
The students wrote statements of faith and chose a life scripture verse to guide them throughout their lives.
They were received into membership during the worship service and presented with gifts.
A luncheon was held after the service to congratulate and welcome the group.
Confirmands and their parents are: Regan Riley Boyer, daughter of Steve and Michelle Boyer; Tera Lynn Brandt, daughter of Raylin and Tresa Brandt; Lauren Raeann Frederick, daughter of Troy and Dana Frederick; Ian Bruce Johnston, son of Kirk and Laurie Johnston; Sarah Louise Ludwick, daughter of Bruce and Patt Ludwick; Sarah Ann Phipps, daughter of Brad and Kay Phipps; Travis James Thomas, son of Fred and Shelly Thomas; and Alaina Sommer Weidman, daughter of Alex and Lisa Weidman.
