Junior varsity boys claim league track title
Brown, Randall, Sandburg, relay teams win events for Panthers at Eudora

Five league champions and seven runner-up finishes propelled the Paola High School junior varsity boys’ track and field team to the junior varsity Frontier League team title.
Chad Brown, Will Randall, Scott Sandburg and two relay teams won events for the Panthers in the league meet at Eudora.
Paola scored 192 points. Eudora was a distant second at its home track, scoring 126 points.
Brown ran a time of 57.1 seconds for first place in the 400-meter dash.
Randall won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.7.
Sandburg had a mark of 39 feet 5 1/2 inches for first place in the shot put.
The Panthers ran a time of 9:39.8 for first place in the 4x800-meter relay. Paola was first in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:02.9.
Brad Blann was second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.9 and ran a time of 49.2 for second place in the 300-meter hurdles.
Jonathan Bayles had a mark of 35-5 for second place in the triple jump.
Ryin Brandt cleared 9-6 for second place in the pole vault.
Ryan Schultz ran a time of 12.3 for second place in the 100-meter dash.
Paola was second in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 47.9 and second in the throwers’ relay.
Bayles placed third in the long jump.
Anthony West was third in the high jump and third in the 300-meter hurdles.
Greg Leslie placed third in both the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200-meter run.
Austin Henry was third in the triple jump.
Keelan Trull placed third in the 800-meter run.
Jonathan Kelly was third in the 200-meter dash.

Discus: Ryan McKinney, fifth; Kyle Wilkins, sixth.
Javelin: Haggerty, fourth; Bill Dillenbeck, fifth; McKinney, sixth.

100-meter dash: Mike Wisniewski, fifth.
200-meter dash: Brandt, fifth.
