SH Class of 2008 set to graduate Saturday

Administrators didn’t have to worry this year when they began planning the commencement ceremony for the Spring Hill High School class of 2008.

In the past, there were concerns about the state’s fickle spring weather, and whether district facilities could hold the number of family and friends turning out to watch their favorite graduate in case it did rain.

But not this year.

When members of the class of 2008 cross the stage Saturday night, they will be the first to graduate in the new school’s gymnasium.

This year’s ceremonies begin at 7 p.m., but the doors are expected to open at least an hour early.

Valedictorians for this year’s class are Mark Sowers, a National Merit Scholarship finalist, and Amelia Meier. Salutatorians are Ryan Isnard and Jeremy Adwell.
