Class of 2008 Will Take Center Stage On Sunday

The class of 2008 will take center stage this weekend.

Osawatomie High School’s graduation ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the high school gymnasium, 1200 Trojan Drive. Eighty-seven seniors will receive their diplomas during the ceremony.

A baccalaureate service will be held before the graduation ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday in the school’s auditorium.

Jessica French and Mandy Troutman are co-valedictorians for the class of 2008, and both will be speaking during the graduation ceremony. The pair are among the 38 seniors finishing their high school careers with grade point averages of 3.0 or higher.

The class of 2012, this year’s eighth-grade class, will have its promotion ceremony at 8 p.m. Friday at Osawatomie Middle School, 428 Pacific Ave.

Seniors at Central Heights High School will also be graduating this weekend. The ceremony is slated for 4 p.m. Saturday in the school’s gym.
