Tee up for a great cause this weekend in Osawatomie.

The fourth annual Rachel Dalton Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Saturday at Osawatomie Golf Course. The first group will tee off at 9 a.m.

The event serves as a fund-raiser for scholarships given out in memory of Dalton, an Osawatomie High School student who was killed in a car accident in 2004. This year’s scholarship winners were Jenna Wendt, Ethan Bailey and Thomas O’Barto.

The tournament is a four-person scramble, best-ball event.

A number of local businesses are helping sponsor the event, and Troy Dalton said at least 10 holes are sponsored and will feature prizes participants can win, including a prize of a Ford Mustang from Max Motors on one hole if a golfer hits a hole-in-one.

The cost to play in the tournament is $55 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart and food provided by Sonic Drive-In. Dalton requests registration before Saturday, which can be made by calling the course at 755-4769.
