Blue Valley senior golfer Park Ulrich qualified for the Class 6A state golf tournament May 19 at Shadow Glen Golf Club in Olathe.

The senior qualified with his round of 80 at the regional tournament Monday at Heritage Park in Olathe.

Ulrich is coming back from a diagnosis of acute lymphocytic leukemia Feb. 25.

He has battled the disease and treatments for the disease to qualify for state.

Ulrich was featured in a story in the April 30 issue of the Sun.
