Motorists on Kansas Highway 68 west of Louisburg may see a barrage of bicycles on Aug. 3.

The Johnson County Bicycle Club is holding its third annual Cider Mill Century bike ride around Miami and Linn counties, stopping at many tourist destinations along the way.

The ride offers 25-, 50-, 70- and 100-mile treks across the county, beginning at the Louisburg Cider Mill and stopping at places such as Hillsdale, Wallace Park in Paola, John Brown State Park in Osawatomie, Fontana, La Cygne Community Park, Linn Valley Lakes, Trinity Lutheran School, Lake Miola playground, and ending back at the Cider Mill.

Anyone can register by going to the group’s Web site, www.jcbikeclub.org, before midnight July 31. Commemorative glasses will be given to the first 400 pre-registered riders.

Registration on the day of the ride begins at 6 a.m., with a mass start at 7 a.m. at the Cider Mill.
