Last week: Gardner-Edgerton beat Paola 38-7; Eudora downed Prairie View 34-20.

The book on Eudora: The Cardinals have established themselves as a perennial scoring team in Class 4A and have started the season well. The Cardinals have two solid running backs in Ryan Fisher and Travis Clarke. Fisher has shown big-play ability.

The defense has allowed less than 140 yards per game through four games but has not played a team as talented at Gardner-Edgerton yet.

One of the Cardinals' Achilles heels has been slow starts. They have trailed early in three of the first four games of the season.

The skinny: Gardner-Edgerton will need to play a solid game to beat Eudora. The Blazers will be bigger and more athletic but must match the solid fundamentals Eudora brings.

Eudora is not an easy place to play, either, with one of the better homefield advantages in the Frontier League.

The Blazers may need to have a more balanced attack against the Cardinals, as they only had seven passing attempts in the win over Paola.
