Osawatomie and Anderson County have a long history when it comes to the gridiron. When the two rivals take to the field Sept. 5 in Garnett, they will look to earn bragging rights in their first encounter as members of the new Pioneer League.

At least fans can put aside the rivalry before the game.

The Garnett Optimist Club will put on a hot dog feed, and fans from both teams are welcome to chow down outside the stadium before they take their seats inside. The feed is free of charge.

Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
