Last night, Friday, Oct. 14, Kearney’s defense turned in one of its most impressive performances of the season. They shut out an offense that has averaged more than 30 points a game in a 28-0 victory at No. 6-ranked Smithville. They took a team that relied on big passing plays and didn’t give up a deep ball all night. They captured three turnovers, two of which were turned into touchdowns in the second quarter.
