Filing deadlines for open positions on the Louisburg City Council closed at noon Tuesday.

By press time, Mayor Curt Shreckengaust had re-filed for his position, along with resident Travis Thompson.

Current Council Member Steve Ward also re-applied for his Ward 3 position.

Feb. 7 is the last day to register to vote in the spring primary election, which will be held Feb. 28 if necessary. March 13 is the deadline to register to vote in the April 3 elections, according to the Miami County website. For additional information, contact City Hall at 837-5371.
